Adventure!-Eastern State Penitentiary

Deviants there’s no doubt that the weather is changing but don’t worry I’ve got another new Adventure! to help that change go down a little smoother.

Following in the footsteps of my prior couple weeks I wanted to share with you all a little trip that I took to a place that is considered one of the more haunted locations in the United States, Eastern State Penitentiary. I made my way out to this famous prison on a vacation that I took with my family to the east coast here several years ago. My sister and I did some bugging to make the stop happen but fortunately we were able to go and check out the confines of Al Capone. The Penitentiary has been around for well over 100 years (even though it hasn’t been in service for a long time) which has meant it contains a ton of history and possible scares. Unfortunately for us we weren’t able to experience any of the supposed paranormal but were able to understand where some of the creepy factor comes into play. Due to the length of time Eastern State Penitentiary has been established there have been plenty of criminals that passed through and plenty of things that occurred inside the walls. The general look adds to the haunting feel of the building since it has an old castle look along with long, dimly lit corridors and emptied, worn out cells. A visit here was definitely worth the stop just for the history lesson alone even if my sister and I weren’t able to prove (yet) the existence of ghosts.

What’s one of the creepiest older buildings you’ve ever been to? Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to keep checking back for more new material. Now get out Deviants and make your own Adventure!
